Training Clinicians to Manage
HPB Disease in Tanzania
We run conferences, workshops, and case-based learning because Tanzania needs more clinicians who can diagnose and treat liver, pancreatic, and biliary diseases. Our approach is practical and hands-on.
Our Programs
How We Train
Practical training for clinicians at different stages, from residents to practising surgeons.
Fellowship Programs (Planned)
We are developing structured HPB surgical fellowships at Tanzanian hospitals. The goal is to give trainees dedicated time operating on liver, pancreatic, and biliary cases under mentorship. This programme is currently in development.

- Target hospitals: MNH, KCMC, BMC
- Mentorship from practising HPB surgeons
- Research project requirement

- Cadaveric dissection labs
- Laparoscopic simulation training
- Live operative demonstrations
- 2-5 day intensive formats
